I haven't been very good about this blog, have I? AGH! Perhaps I will try to get it up to date this Winter. I don't know. I tend to use Facebook more... I am attempting to post an anniversary card I made on Shutterfly. I get $10 off it I can figure it out! :o)

Only in Ohio...
The pictures below were taken within 2 days of each other...sunny and sidewalk chalk to chilly & snow in 48 hours! CRAZY OHIO WEATHER! It didn't matter though...the girls were so excited to play in the snow again. Bruce & I are hoping this will be the last time this season!
Emily was thrilled that she got to throw snowballs at Bruce & I! Haley was still a little spooked to walk in the snow, but Emily made paths all over the yard and several snow angels. The snow was gone the next day (it was in the 50s!), but the girls are still talking about it!

I got a new haircut! I was so tired of dealing with long stringy hair! A big THANK YOU to Erin Wallace for the new do..I LOVE it! If anyone needs a new stylist, let me know and I will get her info to you!

Haley is talking up a storm now! She is stringing sentences together like a pro and expressing herself all the time. It is so fun listen to her an Emily having conversations and singing the ABC song together. They are just adorable together! We are still having issues with sharing, but other than those moments, it is really fun to have 2 little girls!

Bruce & I have officially begun the process of acquiring funds for our business and are excited and impatient for it to happen! We will be sure to keep all of you posted as things progress. Sorry so short...lots to do today!

Haley's 2nd Birthday!!!

On March 6th, Haley turned 2! it is so hard to fathom she is two years old already! We celebrated with a party on the 8th at our houseand had a lot of fun! Haley had a lot of her cousins here from age 9 days (Makenzi Rae Miner) to 9 years! It was so nice to have all of the family together again. Thanks to those of you that attended. Haley had a great time at her party and she got a lot of great gifts, many of which she & Emily are now fighting over!

Other News & Notes in the Madak Family:
  • Bruce & I are still trying to acquire a Sylvan Learning Center, but it s a slow process. We are hoping that the next 1-2 months show a quicker progression of things!
  • Emily still loves preschool and had her first play-daye a few weeks ago. It was hilarious!
  • Bruce is gearing up for golf season and cannot wait for the warm weather to hit so he can get out on the course!
  • I am working on scrapbooking our pictures from our family trip to Disney World this past December. It was a great trip and I want to get it done before I start forgetting things!

That all for now. I'll try to post again soon!

Hello All!

The first photo is Emily & Bruce in front of the fire last night waiting for the New Year. Emily was so excited to have a fire in the fireplace! We actually put her to bed at 9:30 and she wandered back down around 10:45. It was like she knew it was a special night or something because she was wide awake and remained that way until 12:30 when we made her go to sleep!

I have also added a photo of the girls in their holiday dresses. I must have taken 15 pictures and there isn't one where they are both smiling or looking my way at the same time...to funny!

I'll post more when I have time, but just wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone!

I actually signed up for this blog in 2006 when some friend's of ours started theirs (thanks to the Bartons!) with every intention of keeping up with it. Well, it is 2 years later and I am only now placing my first post. Not good! I have no idea what I am doing, so this should be interesting! From time to time I will send updates on us and attempt to add some photos.

Emily & I recently went on the Polar Express with Cousin Conor, aunt Sissy (April) & Uncle Matt. Cousins Katie, Skyler & Gavin also joined us. It was a great time and Emily was in heaven becasue she got to ride a real live train! They read the story (and by they, I mean elves), served hot chocolate & cookies, took us to the North pole and then Santa joined each of the kids and gave them a jingle bell. all of this was followed up by singing Christmas Carols. Way too cute!
